Four Thieves The Soap -The Legend-

Four Thieves Soap is a customer favorite. We first started making this soap at the request of several of our customers. This soap contains the essential oils of Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus & Rosemary. While that is an interesting combination, that smells great, its history is what is truly interesting about this essential oil combination.

The Bubonic Plague, also known as the Black Death, was spreading across Europe in the 1300s. If you came in contact with someone who had it chances were you weren't going to be around much longer.

Europe was in a state of panic.

According to legend four thieves were captured and charged with robbing dead and dying victims of the plague.

These individuals were in direct contact with dozens of contagious people and infected bodies but somehow, they themselves did not present symptoms of the disease.

At the trial, they were to be granted leniency if they revealed their "secret" for staying healthy. Their explanation was that they were using oils, Eucalyptus, Lemon, Cinnamon, Rosemary and Clove to cleanse themselves after coming into contact with their victims.

There is no way to know if the legend is true, but these oils have been shown to be great at cleansing and providing immune support.
